The pre-selection of grapes in the vineyard took place in August. Only five percent of the Cabernet Franc grapes were pre-picked at the beginning of October.

Towards the end of the month, the harvest of selected grapes took place. The grapes were then macerated for thirty days with its own funghi, harvested from the pre-picked grapes.

The must, together with fine lees, was poured into Slovene-oak barrels, where the wine developed its elegance without the winemaker’s touch.

Malolactic fermentation took place. No preservatives are used up to the bottling, enabling the wine to finish all of the naturall processes and develop a natural stability.

COLOUR: Deep ruby

NOSE: Pure herbal notes prevailing, with tones of forest fruit (black raspberry) and pepper. Notes of smoke and leather coming from the background.

TASTE: The scent-anticipated story continues in the mouth. The wine is in perfect harmony, elegant. A distinct presence of herbal notes. The tannins are quite soft. Followed by a long, fuity finish, Cabernet Franc is clearly an elegant Batič wine.
